Why
Kashmir Valley is special
Kashmir in India is renowned for its smooth Dal Lake
that reflects the surrounding snow-capped mountain peaks - and
for its romantic Mogul Gardens created by emperors for their
loves.
Another highlight is viewing the floating vegetable and flower
markets, which take place in secluded tree-lined canals. This
scene is best experienced at misty dawn. Everyone is in small
boats - the vendors, buyers and you.
Also, let's not forget the adventure of staying on the unique
Kashmiri houseboats (see photo). They range from bare-bones to
luxury (the prices are so reasonable than even a traveler on a
modest budget can enjoy the latter).
War and peace
Kashmir during peace time is, as an emperor extolled centuries
ago, "a paradise on earth". Unfortunately, present-day civil
warfare makes the region dangerous for travelers, but that will
surely someday pass. When it does, make your reservations early
because the pent-up demand among travelers craving to visit the
Veil of Kashmir is sizeable.

برای دری اچه صاف و زیبایش معروف است دریاچه ای که قله های
کوههای پر برف اطراف را
در خود منعکس می کند و نیز برای باغهای زیبای اطرافش هم
مشهور است چراکه آنها توسط
امپراطوران برای معشوقه هاشان ساخته شده اند. منظره دیگری
که در آنجا دیده می شود
گلها و سبزیهایی هستند که بر روی آب شناورند و درکانالهای
درختی مجزا قرار دارند.
این منظره در زمان سپیده دم که هوا مه آلود است به بهترین
صورت دیده می شود. همه
فروشندگان , خریداران ومسافران در قایقهای کوچک شان قرار
دارند. و این را نباید
فراموش کرد که ماجراجویی در این خانه های قایقی کشمیری
بسیار جالب است . این قایقها
از انواع بسیار معمولی تا انواع مجلل و اشرافی وجود دارند
و این گونه است که حتی
مسافران با بودجه کم هم می توانند ازمسافرتشان لذت ببرند.
کشمیر در زمان صلح
همانطور که یکی از پادشاهانش قرنها پیش بیان کرد بهشت روی
زمین است. متاسفانه
امروزه جنگهای داخلی باعث شده است که این منطقه برای
مسافران بسیار نا امن باشد اما
به یقین این دوران هم سپری خواهد شد.
