About Hafez (Hafezieh) in Fars province

 The celebrated Hafez was born in Shiraz in 1326 A.D. in Shiraz.
He is said to have known all the Koran by heart, hence earning the nick-name of Hafez (Memorizer).
With Ferdowsi he ranks as the most popular and best known poet in Iran. His collection (divan) consists of 693 poems, of which 573 are odes.
There are many who consider this modest work as the greate masterpiece of Persian Literature.
His tomb in Shiraz is visited by so many admirers that it may be regarded as a shrine.
Hafez spent most of his life in Shiraz and was buried in the Mosalla garden on the banks of the Roknabad stream, which he often celebrated in his poems.

حافظ شیرازی

حافظ شیرازی حافظ در سال 1326 میلادی در شیراز مت ولد شد. اینطور که روایت می شود وی همه قرآن را از حفظ داشته است و بخاطر همین لقب حافظ یعنی حفظ کننده را به وی داده اند. او و فردوسی به عنوان معروف ترین و مشهور ترین شاعران ایران شناخته شده اند. دیوان او شامل 693 شعر می باشد که 573 تای آن غزل است. بسیاری افراد این اثر فروتنانه وی را بزرگترین شاهکار فارسی می دانند. مقبره او در شیراز بازدید کننده های بسیاری دارد که که وی را می ستایند و حتی می توان آنرا به عنوان یک مکان مذهبی محسوب داشت. حافظ بیشتر عمرش را در شیراز سپری کرد ودر باغ مصلا در کنار رود رکن آباد به خاک سپرده شد مکانی که در اغلب شعرهایش از آن تجلیل می کند.
